Applying for jobs- timing

Introduce Yourself

Hello!

I am currently a senior in college planning to graduate this Spring. I am interested in getting a job in cannabis after I graduate, and I am wondering when I should plan to apply for jobs. I wouldn't start until May or so, but I am eager to apply for jobs now to solidify my post-graduate plans and to get a sense of the application/interview process. Any advice is appreciated, thanks!

Hi William!!

Start making connections NOW! You can never have too many resources along the way.

Get on LinkedIn and connect to people in the industry, especially involved in your area of interest; go to trade shows in your area and just peruse the crowd; engage in learning opportunities specifically geared towards Cannabis, there are a ton out there; engage on social media with the companies you are interested in, become a familiar "face". Last but not least, you and I should connect : ) I just happen to be a Talent Manager here at Vangst and I would love to help you on your journey once you are ready to make moves.

Best of luck with completing school and I hope to see you around!

Cheers,

Shannon
