Remote Work in the Cannabis Industry?

Getting Started in Cannabis

I am seeking remote work within the cannabis industry and was curious if anyone knows of specific roles that are usually remote. If there are, what do those roles look like and which are the most high-demand? I am trying to refine my experience to get started in the cannabis industry and will pursue additional certifications accordingly.

Thank you! Any advice is appreciated! I am new to the cannabis industry, but know it's where my career leads!

Really any function except QC, in store sales (dispensary ops) and cultivation can be done remotely. Some states may require licensure to be able to work for companies in that state but otherwise, there is a whole lot of work that can be accomplished remotely!

Hi Kimberly,

Thank you for posting and inquiring! Very exciting to hear your ambitions to join this amazing industry. After last year, many companies have moved a lot of their roles to being more remote. The options are almost endless! I have seen remote positions for administration, data entry, graphic design, marketing, customer support, recruiters, coordinators, onboarding specialists, sales representatives, accounting, and communications to name a few.

Please also feel free to connect with me so we can further discuss your interests as you pursue a cannabis career:https://calendly.com/stephanie-szabla/phone-vangst

Wow! Thank you, Stephanie! I will do that ☺️

A bit of a specific niche, but software development -- especially in the cannabis field -- seems to be going the remote direction! There are some very reputable bootcamps out there now (Turing.edu!) which can get you into the space in half a year.

Hi Aaron! Thank you so much! I'll check it out :)
