We are seeking an experienced retail and operations professional for a marijuana retail store manager position. This position may grow as we open more stores in the region.
The right candidate for this role is a highly organized and motivated individual, with a broad background in retail management or operations as well as a demonstrated ability to think strategically and lead teams effectively in fast-paced, dynamic work environments.
High standards for attitude, behavior, ethics, and appearance are required. We’re looking for individuals that are ready for an exciting and challenging opportunity to grow a business and advance with a changing and growing industry. We are growing and plan on having two new stores open shortly, and room for advancement into general manager, and from assistant manager to manager, is possible.

- Hire and develop a team of full and part-time sales associates that are motivated to grow the brand, meet sales targets and create a strong and loyal customer base
- Train all employees thoroughly; design and implement policies and procedures that ensure strict compliance to regulations
- Train employees on compliance with regulated sale (over 21) requirements, age verification procedures
- Communicate performance targets to the team and develop strategies to achieve targets
- Using metrics and analysis to stock inventory and implement sales strategies
- Provide leadership and support for sales associates
- Manage all daily, weekly and monthly operational tasks including, but not limited to: cash-flow and inventory management, inventory auditing and asset protection, and marijuana regulatory agency reporting
- Proactively identify business improvement opportunities, develop action plans, and work with company founders and/or management to implement solutions
- Interact with marketing, bookkeeping, and outside professionals
Physical Requirements
- Strong attention to detail, and written communication, and strong written communication skills
- Ability to prioritize workload, stay organized, and develop strategies to meet sales deadlines and goals
- Ability to communicate highly effectively with exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build customer loyalty and create positive customer experiences
- Ability to lead a team, keep store employees positive, motivated, accountable and on task
- Problem solving, organization, and analytic skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Remaining composed when dealing with customer concerns or employee conflict
- Flexibility to work retail schedule, including mornings or evenings as needed, and an occasional holiday
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Able to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 lbs
- Must be over 21, with no prior felony offenses

Experience
- Basic knowledge of cannabis and cannabis products is a plus, but not required
- 3 + years retail management or operations management experience
- 2 + years in retail sales, front desk, or customer service related position, or in service or hospitality industries
Education
- BA or BS degree or equivalent business experience, preferred
Salary
$40,000.00 - $50,000.00
