We are looking to employ a knowledgeable and experienced Budtender to assist customers in selecting suitable cannabis products. Budtenders should have a thorough understanding of the types of cannabis cultivars and products on the market, how different types of products are properly used, different consumption methods and the proper use of each, the various chemical compounds found in the cannabis products they sell, and information about responsible dosing. Budtenders well-versed in the cannabis industry may also be able to provide cultivation advice, information about local and state regulations, as well as medical marijuana products commonly used to treat symptoms of various medical conditions.
To be successful as a Budtender, you should keep abreast of the latest developments in cannabis laws to maintain legal compliance. Ultimately, an outstanding Budtender should be able to demonstrate excellent communication and customer service skills by ensuring that customers are well-informed and satisfied with their purchases.
Advising and educating customers on suitable cannabis products based on their needs, preferences, budgets, and reactions to different strains of cannabis, including flower, edibles, and concentrates
Keeping abreast of new cannabis products on the market as well as the latest industry trends through trade shows, research and compliance.
Processing customers' payments using the dispensary's Point of Sale (POS) system.
Ensuring that the dispensary is clean and well-organized at all times.
Correctly weighing, packaging, and labeling cannabis products as required.
Verifying customers' identification documents to verify that they are of legal age.
Taking inventory of cannabis products and ensuring that the sales floor is adequately stocked.
Acting as the face of the dispensary, greeting customers
Staying abreast of new products, strains, changes in laws, and industry trends in order to provide the highest level of service to customers
Weighing and packaging products as needed
Maintaining medical cannabis patient information and proper records (if at a medical dispensary)
Assisting in various dispensary operations, including operating the cash register and maintaining hygienic conditions
Proven experience working as a Budtender.
A valid marijuana worker's permit or license in Oklahoma
Sound knowledge of cannabis strains and their medicinal benefits.
Proficiency in Office and Google applications.
Outstanding organizational skills.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication skills.
Exceptional customer service skills.
High school diploma or GED
