Summary

Cannazoned MLS is seeking a Michigan licensed Architect and/or a Professional Engineer to support a broad range of licensing and architectural projects in both new construction and renovation from planning and design inception through construction completion. We are Michigan’s leading real estate development firm for cannabis operators and entrepreneurs. Primary Duties and Responsibilities • Prepares site plans, renderings, and other design/construction documents for municipal applications and other construction projects. • Prepares engineering analysis, design, calculations, and other necessary reports. • Designs grading and drainage for site improvements. • Designs utility piping systems, involving sanitary, water main, fire protection, and storm drainage. • Prepares project drawings, calculations, and specifications. • Assists in the preparation of proposals and fee estimates for potential projects. • Performs construction assistance related tasks including responding to RFI (Request for Information), visiting job sites, reviewing submittals, and coordinating with contractors/construction team. • Develops and presents project-specific or technical presentations to planning commissions, zoning boards and other municipal departments. • Prepares plan reviews, permit applications, analyzes zoning ordinances, and evaluates land use. • Attends and participates in public meetings related to projects such as planning, commission and city council meetings. • Performs other duties as assigned. • Develop technical construction documents in AutoCAD and Revit • Develop technical solutions for assigned tasks Essential Skills • Strong technical proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit. • Proficiency in Adobe InDesign and/or Google Sketch-Up. • Technical ability to develop, coordinate, and review construction documentation for design solutions. • Understanding of building codes and ADA requirements. • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with multiple competing deadlines. • Provide complete Design Development and Construction Document packages. • Familiarity with plan approval and working with local municipalities. Requirements: • Michigan licensed architect or P.E. • 2-5 years of industry experience; or related field. • Strong technical knowledge and proficiency in site plan drafting, modeling and rendering software. • Ability to thrive in fast-paced environment. • Must be proficient and able to handle projects/tasks from start to finish with little to no supervision. • Great communication skills.
