Summary

Our client is looking for reliable Production Technicians to join their team in the cannabis industry. Under the guidance of the management team, you will produce, package, and handle products, perform inventory duties, adhere to compliance requirements, and keep safety as your top priority while working daily in our facility. This is a gummy edibles packaging role. A successful candidate separates, weighs, packages, seals, and labels various cannabis products. They ensure all product is appropriately packaged, labeled, and documented before it becomes available for sale or wholesale. Joint packaging.

Responsibilities

Deliver on production goals, while focusing on safety and quality Tag and label merchandise with accuracy to ensure compliance with state regulations Produce product per recipes and SOPs, maintaining high-quality standards Ensure all standards for processing procedures and laboratory protocols are followed Compliance with local and state regulations Adherence to quality control methods throughout the entire process Create and maintain manufacturing methods documentation Electronically convert packaged products in the state traceability system Inspect product for quality defects throughout the packaging process Manage time efficiently to meet goals while consistently producing a quality product Practice good housekeeping habits throughout the facility with focus and personal contributions towards a clean and organized assigned work area at the end of the assigned shift Exhibit competency in basic organizational skills, communication skills and Windows-based operating software Use independent judgment regarding product processing, keeping quality and goals in mind Help create a positive environment by having a positive attitude and by being self-motivated Other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements

Must be able to stand for long periods of time. They do not provide chairs for everyone Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs Comfortable with repetitive work motions While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The position involves sitting, walking, and lifting less than 25 pounds throughout the day

Working Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to perform reaching, grasping, bending, stooping, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions. Must be able to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time while maintaining focus. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must be able to lift, carry, and balance up to 50 pounds AND must be able to do so with extreme care and caution when working with product.

Experience

Must be at least 21+ and able to complete state guidelines for working in the cannabis industry High School Education or GED graduate; some college or college graduates preferred 1-2 years of experience in manufacturing, food processing, warehousing, and/or inventory preferred Ability to learn and operate production equipment and machines. Effective time-management skills and ability to multi-task. Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment. Ability to maintain an excellent attendance record Ability to read and interpret written and oral instructions Cannabis experience is not required but preferred

Education

Minimum of a high school diploma or GED; associates degree or certifications preferred Effective time-management skills and ability to multi-task Ability to work well with others while also completing individually assigned tasks Ability to stand, sit, kneel, and lift equipment or plants up to 50 lbs. for extended periods Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing and challenging environment Must be able to comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) requirements Must be able to work in an environment that is 85+ degrees and 70% humidity for extended periods Must be able to work at heights
