Our next Director, People & Culture will develop and implement HR strategies and provide sound guidance to senior management on all people-related matters. As a young organization, we need a changemaker who has "been there and done that" to help us level up our HR organization to provide seamless experiences to our colleagues. We also need someone who sees change as opportunity and can thrive working in gray.
You will be challenged to work strategically with the Senior Leadership team to drive decisions that will positively affect the people and culture at TerrAscend. The Director, People & Culture will never experience the same day twice. One minute you will be developing pay plans for our grow teams, the next minute meeting with a new benefits vendor, and the next minute working with department leaders to develop succession plans.
Regardless of the task, it's critical you have strong situational awareness and EQ as you'll work with diverse stakeholders across the organization
To Be Blunt
Year 1 is going to be about:
Leading the HR team, that is geographically spread in the north-east as well as leading HR on the Senior Leadership Team of the region
Conceptualizing and delivering end to end talent engagement strategy from talent acquisition through retention, positioning us an employer of choice
Providing solutions to complex situations, creating KPIs and reports to support a high return on investment as well as lead HR through M&A activities as we continue growing 'like a weed.'
Own people risk management issues, ensuring our regional colleagues adhere to employment laws and the regulations of a publicly traded company
What We're High On
- We value diverse skillsets, talents, and experiences. To be successful in this role we know you'll need:
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field
- 10+ years of experience of progressive overall HR experience, including labor relations
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP nice to have
- Good analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills to evaluate business issues, apply knowledge to identify appropriate solutions, and the ability to design programs to address and respond to these challenges
- Highly polished interpersonal communication skills and a drive to connect with people
- Self-direction with the ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational skills, extreme attention to detail, and proactive problem-solving skills
