Summary

• Manages overall compliance, farm operations in regard to METRC and scheduling of work crews in collaboration with other farm managers and ranch supervisors. • Specific METRC duties include: planting, harvesting, inventory management, transfers, destruction of plants, and cannabis waste management. • Trains ranch supervisors on METRC data entry, contributes to training of ranch supervisors on farm procedures and cannabis cultivation techniques. • Works with facilities and plant health managers to order supplies for planting, harvest, processing, and any other supplies needed for cultivation projects. • Keep inventory of finished material, plant stock, seed stock, and all materials needed for planting, processing, and packaging.

Working Environment

• Work is performed inside a greenhouse facility exposed to temperatures ranging above a constant 75 F, in agricultural fields with temperatures reaching below 50 F, and above 90 F depending on time of day and season. • Work is subject to weather conditions, including rain and extreme hot or cold temperatures. • May require working rotating shifts with varied hours/day, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events. • Periodic travel may be required for training purposes or purchasing materials and equipment.

Role Requirements

Responsibilities

• Work with director of cultivation, other managers, and contractors to execute planting based on the yearly crop plan and actual weather conditions. • Facilitate incoming and outgoing transfers of plant stock, seed stock, and finished product. • Work with director of cultivation and other managers on crop plan to effectively utilize labor crews and schedule material purchase orders. • Work with Plant Health Managers to schedule and execute harvest based on scheduled harvest times, plant health, final use, and available drying/freezer space. • Responsible for 3rd party deliveries and pick-ups (transfers to material purchasers)

Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of experience commercially cultivating cannabis or other botanicals preferred. • Experience with data management systems, METRC, and excel. • Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered. • Previous agricultural experience a plus. • 1-2 years administration experience required. • Must be 21 years old per state regulations and pass a criminal background check • Must be bilingual (English and Spanish)

Education

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent; some college or college graduate highly preferred.
