Description

As an integral part of our sales team, the Account Executive (AE) will be responsible for building business growth by identifying new opportunities as well as servicing existing clients. They will focus on driving revenue and building strategic relationships directly with our partners and prospects to understand their individual needs and recommend products or services that maximize value. AE's will be tasked with running product demos and attending trade shows; thus, they must be personable and professional. He/she may also assist in developing sales strategies and establishing quotas. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated and outgoing sales professional with strong negotiating skills, and the ability to showcase our offerings compellingly.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Leadership
  • Prospect, educate, qualify and develop accounts to run sales-quality demos
  • Utilize solution-based selling
  • Identify new business opportunities
  • Target, qualify and pursue leads in accordance with company strategy and techniques
  • Plan and perform sales calls, appointments, and site visits
  • Create opportunities through a high volume of contact calls to potential clients
  • Provide accurate weekly forecasting, including deal value, status, decision-makers, and steps to close
  • Close sales by building rapport with potential clients; explaining the product, overcoming objectives
  • Liaise between client and customization department to develop effective hardware design
  • Service and manage all existing accounts in the territory
  • Expand existing client opportunity through new products and capabilities
  • Attend industry trade shows, networking, and educational events

Quality & Financial
  • Manage a full sales cycle pipeline - from cold calling to closing the deal
  • Track weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance, and sales metrics

People & Development
  • Develop sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts; soliciting new accounts; building rapport; providing technical information and explanations
  • Respond to objections and understand customer needs
  • Make cold calls and talk to new people all day
  • Update job knowledge by studying new product descriptions; participating in educational opportunities

Compliance
  • Maintain a database of prospective client information
  • Understand and have a basic knowledge of individual state and local regulations and taxation related to our products
  • Record all sales and inventory transactions accurately and in accordance with state and local laws and regulations

SKILLS & ABILITIES
  • Detail and customer-oriented with good multitasking and organizational ability
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to take in specific customer requests and requirements and convey those needs and wants back to the development team for future product development ideas
  • An understanding of the marketing mix and the ability to recommend specific marketing activities within your territory to drive brand value and additional sales opportunities
  • Willing and receptive to training and personal development
  • Able to work in a team environment with an emphasis on customer satisfaction
  • Must be able to learn, understand and apply new technologies
  • Able to thrive in and support a diverse and inclusive work environment

REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or a related discipline
  • 3+ years proven success in outside sales
  • Proven territory management experience and sales planning experience
  • Previous experience with client management
  • A deep understanding of concentrates and cannabis extraction
  • Comfortable working in the Cannabis industry and directly interacting with key players in the industry
  • Proficient in Customer Relationship Management Systems (CRM)

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • This position works in a high paced office environment
  • Must be able to sit or stand for up to eight (8) hours at a time
  • Must be able to lift up to 40lbs
  • Must be willing to travel (international a possibility)
