Miss Grass is looking for a Illinois Brand Manager—an energetic mover and shaker who lives and breathes the Miss Grass ethos and wants to share it with others by growing the MG product line. The ideal candidate is extremely personable, strategic, resilient, creative, and motivated—a total superstar when it comes to sales, marketing partnerships and account management. You’ve got that entrepreneurial hustle, love the challenging and ever-changing environment of the cannabis industry, and thrive on the road and in the field. Above all, you know weed and love weed—you geek out about the science, cultivation, benefits, effects, and products, with a sensitivity for its complex history and a devotion to promoting conscious consumption.
You will identify, manage, and nurture relationships with dispensaries, buyers, budtenders and the MG community throughout Illinois. You’ll educate budtenders and consumers on Miss Grass’ brand story, mission, and unique product offering. Prior cannabis sales experience and relationships are definitely a plus, but we’ll train the right person. This role is full-time, based in Chicagoland area. Role Requirements


  • Developing territory through identifying and closing prospective licensed accounts and managing all business opportunities within a defined sales territory.
  • Developing and nurturing strong relationships with accounts to maintain a high level of service, client loyalty, and account growth.
  • Hit and/or exceed monthly and quarterly sales and retention goals.
  • Educate buyers, budtenders, and consumers on the benefits of our Miss Grass product line and our brand story and mission.
  • Collaborate with our retail partners and MG’s marketing team to identify and execute retail marketing opportunities and partnerships to drive retention, sell through, and account growth. This includes CADs, in-store events, promotions, brand activations and product collaborations.
  • Ensure our brand is displayed in an optimum position to heighten brand presence in every account.
  • Serve as Miss Grass’ brand representative at local events and community gatherings, developing strong relationships and helping to build brand awareness and brand loyalists in the territory.
  • Assist with production needs at Miss Grass brand activations, retail PADs, and local events.
  • Continual enhancement of cannabis knowledge, our value proposition, and our WHY.
  • Maintain familiarity with regulatory and industry standards / requirements.
  • Keep management informed by completing weekly KPIs, adding in your daily activity and meeting notes in CRM.
  • Own your territory. Update all leads and account contact info in CRM.
  • Share feedback, insights, and ideas about the market, our customers, and end users with our team.
  • Resolve customer complaints in products, service, and policy by offering solutions.
  • Work collectively and respectfully with team members.

Physical Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills (verbal & written).
  • Must have a high level of persistence, determination, and internal motivation.
  • Ability to juggle multiple responsibilities while staying focused, motivated, and organized.
  • A strategic thinker who is efficient with great follow-up skills.
  • Must have reliable transportation, car insurance, a laptop, and cell phone.


  • Previous experience as a verifiable high-producing successful brand rep.
  • 3-5 years of outside sales experience.
  • 2+ yrs experience in the cannabis or alcohol/tobacco/medical industries preferred.
  • Must love new account development and account management.
