Role Requirements
Responsibilities
Ensure that Inventory Controller is notified of all returns so this may be communicated to the vendor and product replaced or credit given
Ensure all technology platforms are updated with our most current information (specials, events, marketing materials)
Ensure the store fulfills all legal health and safety guidelines
Assist Inventory Manager by communicating any needs or new sales trends ensuring we have adequate product stock
Ensure all opening and closing duties are completed before opening and all closing duties are completed and the venue is completely secured before departing for the night
Meet with management team to ensure proper follow-up on all action items and address any personnel issues
Share venue successes with other Synchronicity Holistic venue managers so they may adopt successful programs/promotions
Ensure all operational manuals are up to date (should be done quarterly)
Analyze sales and revenue reports and make forecasts
Account for cash and inventory in compliance with company policy, industry best practices and legal requirements
Keep abreast of market trends to determine the need for improvements in the store
Provide departmental leadership to assure that all departmental operations such as customer check ins, client consulting, product dispensing, cash management, inventory management, inventory auditing, outreach, marketing and ordering are functioning with integrity and in the most cost efficient, compassionate and compliant manner
Report all relevant operational information to VP of Retail Operations
Responsible for ensuring vigilance, adherence and departmental compliance with the BCC, OSHA and CDTFA regulations including but not limited to confidentiality, training, patient record keeping, submissions of reports, preparation of policies and procedures, acting as a departmental contact person for regulators and law enforcement personnel
Responsible for reviewing, maintaining and updating all dispensary SOP’s and assuring that any changes are communicated to employees and the most recent SOP versions are available 24/7 for planned and unplanned audits by regulators and organization management
Responsible for training, supervising and evaluating all dispensary employees to assure compliance with departmental SOP’s
Make recommendations on all pertinent employee issues relating to the company, including first or second interviews for all prospective staff
Complete checkouts for Patient Educators and delivery drivers ensuring all cash handling procedures are being followed
Responsible for all cash in drop safe and vault
Perform monthly, quarterly and annual sales reviews and provide suggestions for improvement to the VP of Retail Operations
Organize all store operations and allocating responsibilities to personnel
Plan and oversee in-store promotional events or displays
Count cash and audit the activities of supervisors
Inspect the areas in the store and resolve any issues that might arise
Pay vendors as directed by the COO and operations team
Supervise and guide staff towards maximum performance
Deal with complaints from customers to maintain the store’s reputation
Ensure proper time is effectively split between all departments as needed
Oversee dispensary service team including but not limited to: Reception, Budtenders, Budbacks, Security, Dispatch, Delivery Drivers, and Promotional Staff
Ensure all staff is on time, uniforms are clean and they are well groomed
Responsible for interfacing with managers in all departments to ensure smooth running of the dispensary
Responsible for overseeing and ensuring dispensing procedures are happening in compliance with CA Regulations including admissions, verification of medical recommendations, allotment of daily limits, entering items into Metric and any other database required
Stay informed and knowledgeable about state and local laws, regulations and industry news
Responsible for overseeing and ensuring cash management procedures are being followed including, transacting, opening, closing, depositing, reporting, and creating change as needed
Required to oversee dispensary weekly inventory and reporting of cycle counts to the BCC/ Metric as required by law
Prepare and control the store’s purchasing and payroll budget for minimum expenditure ensuring they stay within budget and meet the company’s standards and strategic objectives
Check the work schedule for adequate coverage and make sure that employees take breaks, clock in and out on time
Prepare payroll for processing by the Controller
Perform configuration and control activities in the POS system
Check shelves for proper stock levels and merchandising; direct others to meet company requirements as required
Report to senior management on any issues that have consequence on the business, whether positive or negative.
Prepare the store for opening/closing in the current and for the next business day
Make sure that product received and merchandised is compliant and adequately protected
Maintain adequate levels of store security
Physical Requirements
Must be 21 years or older
Positive references, pass extensive background check after acceptance of offer
Must be able to stand/walk for up to 6 hours at a time
Valid Driver’s License
Must be able to sit for up to 8 hours at a time
Able to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly
Experience
Ideally have worked in a retail setting of $6M+ annual revenue and 400+ daily customer transactions
Excellent Communication
Previous dispensary GM experience, highly preferred experience in a start-up dispensary setting
