The Cultivation Systems Engineer provides accurate and timely design services, using CAD, Revit, Dialux Evo, and other design software for clients. Examples of design work include lighting systems, racking, and benching systems, fan systems, odor mitigation/microbial treatment systems, pipe design and layout, irrigation equipment layout(s), calculation of flow rates, pressure, specification(s), sequencing, and other system requirements. Work with Design Team and Design Manager to better understand and utilize design systems, processes, and procedures for cultivation systems design services.
Maintain a list of all open projects and reports as requested on project status, timelines, completion dates, goals, landmarks, and roadblocks.Able to become proficient at providing the following calculations recording and providing same as required on a project basis:Size appropriate tanks, Size filtration system, Layout equipment in the headhousePropose and draw most efficient pipe runs in fertigation layoutCalculate pipe header pipe size/pressure lossesCalculate pump sizeConfirm tank sizes will suffice for facility size and doorway restrictionsSystem sequencing and total irrigation timeFlow rate calculations tableWill provide designs in Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Document formats for all equipment required on a project basis including all lighting, airflow, benching/racking systems, irrigation, and fertigation systems. Proficient at providing the following designs recording and providing same as required on a project basis.Work with Control Systems Engineering to develop control points lists and verify same from the manufacturer for all automated systems.

Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.This position operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets. Frequent trade show environment.While performing consulting services, this employee will be exposed to common elements in an agricultural facility including bright light, humidity, and air circulation. The employee is responsible for wearing proper PPE while advising at the customer location.
3 -5 years of experience in RevitMechanically/technically inclined with experience in a client -facing roleExperience promoting to and networking with potential clients at trade showsAbility to handle ambiguity, and anticipate and quickly react to changes in a fast -paced environmentKnowledgeable and experienced with the use of CAD and Revit design systems and capable of utilizing these systems to perform facility design.
