The General Manager is responsible for overseeing all day-to-day operations, including managing core department managers and staff across sales and inventory functions. This role is responsible for successfully developing and implementing strategies to constantly improve the business, including driving maximum sales and profitability through merchandise, inventory, expense control, human resources management, and operational cost management. Importantly, this role is also ultimately responsible for ensuring strict adherence to all state and local laws and regulations pertaining to cannabis and business operations. The right candidate is passionate about leading a team and is excited to guide store managers and staff to further develop their respective talents. This candidate is a collaborative leader that enjoys working with others to refine individual and collective skills. This role is critical in ensuring a positive, communicative, and trusting team that works together to better the business and provide unparalleled customer experiences.
Salary$75,000.00 - $85,000.00 / year

Ensure that each guest receives outstanding guest service by providing a guest friendly environment which includes greeting and acknowledging every guest, maintaining outstanding standards, solid product knowledge and all other components of guest service. Analyze and measure business trends; develop and implement plans to maximize sales and meet or exceed goals and objectives. Control shrink, expenses, and payroll. Ensure appropriate merchandise stock levels, merchandise adjacencies and presentations; signing, and assortment in all departments; ensure selling floor is adequately stocked. Comparison shop and report results; share information with leadership and make appropriate price adjustments. Review department/store trends and recommend and initiate changes for maximizing goals and objectives. Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures through regular store management and staff meetings, store walk-through and audits, etc. Continually evaluate and react to performance issues and actively recruit management candidates. Train and develop store management in all aspects of the business; direct and monitor training and development for all store personnel.
This job operates in a retail business environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to speak and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items that weigh more than 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
At least 21 years of age and ability to pass local and/or state background checks and/or Live Scans as required by governing bodies At least 5 years of retail experience, with cannabis retail experience highly preferred Retail management experience Proven ability to lead a team and to problem solve Ability to develop and implement thoughtful customer service protocols Ability to understand accounting principles, interpret financial data and analyze financial reports Ability to operate computer programs necessary to perform job functions Strong organizational and operational skills Ability to maintain confidential and sensitive business information Must be able to work weekends and holidays Excellent verbal and written communication skills
