An Inventory Specialist, or Inventory Control Specialist’s primary function is overseeing the ordering, storing, receiving and distributing processes of an organization’s products and supplies.
The main duties include controlling the flow of supplies and equipment, tracking and analyzing inventory maintenance and developing protocols for loss mitigation. The Inventory Managers must maintain daily records for invoices and shipments to identify which products need to be replenished by using RMZ’s inventory management software system.
As a secondary function the Inventory Lead will also be in charge of vendor relations and supply chain management. Managing the supply of most of the raw materials and packaging by working directly with vendors, researching supply options with the intent to avoid supply outages and ensure lowest costs of goods.
Using METRC, ERP, and customized Google “Sheets” spreadsheets to perform this duty.
Additionally, the Inventory Manager will assist the Production and Facility departments in the day to day managerial duties as needed.
Ensure accuracy of inventory, including but not limited to: on-hand inventory, delivery shipments, inventory in production, previous day/outstanding inventory.
Set and monitor inventory par levels documenting in ERP(Enterprise Resource Planning) “currently filemaker” and Key Spreadsheets.
Accurately record and track all current vendors and pricing. Periodically research new vendors for the same or similar products with the emphasis on reducing COG
Assisting and supporting the fulfillment department lead in routing deliveries to stores via third party transporters or receiving from vendors, and ensure proper labeling, tracking, and storage.
Execute monthly inventory reports detailing finished product totals and on hand products expiration dates
Manage incoming and outgoing shipments with freight service providers. LTL shipments, bills of lading, shipping material classifications and proper pallet organization.
Understanding of CAPA and Recall plans and managing data and inventory in the unlikely event of a product recall
Physical aptitude and health necessary to perform manual labor tasks required for the proper management of operations. Can include: sitting, standing, stooping, stretching, walking, bending, twisting, reaching, performing repetitive motions, carrying boxes, and ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and push/pull up to 100 lbs.

Inventory management and leadership experience is required.
Minimum 1 year in Cannabis Industry experience.

High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
