The HR Generalist, reporting to the Operations Director will partner with management to provide an excellent onboarding experience, workforce productivity training, retention, HR policies, company guidelines, and culture development. Additionally, the HR Generalist will be able to make recommendations and develop strategies in alignment with the company's commitments and competencies in an effort in creating extraordinary employee experiences.
Generating Official internal documents such as offer letters, warning letters, new hire onboarding documents, company policies, internal procedures and regulations as well as other employee or company related documents as needed.Plan and perform new employee orientation.Manage leave of absences, workers compensation, short/long term disability and unemployment.Coordinate employee satisfaction surveys and give actionable insights to improve the employee experience.Support employees when human resources issues arise with efficient problem -solving.Creating employee engagement plans, getting necessary budget approval and initiating employee engagement activities.Taking appropriate disciplinary action against employees who violate rules and regulations and addressing employee grievances.Performing weekly or bi -weekly new employee orientations.Assisting with employee relations and exit procedures.Taking lead on creating employee training and development programs.Ensure legal compliance and stay abreast of applicable federal and state requirements; conduct investigations; and maintain records.Actively identify gaps, propose and implement changes to process and procedure to ensure we continually deliver a great employee experience.Work with 305 Farms executive team to manage performance appraisals, feedback program, and overall performance management processes.Support the Operations Director / Manager on ad hoc duties as required.
New construction / build out.
2 -4 years experience in a HR Generalist or an HR position.Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field strongly preferred.Human resources certification (PHR or SPHR) is preferred.but not required.At least 2 year of experience in labor relations and compliance.Superior knowledge of MS Office, HRIS systems, Google docs, and comfortable learning new technology systems as needed.Knowledge of Michigan labor laws and regulations.Advanced computer skills, including data entry, and data processing.Excellent communication skills both written and verbal; must be approachable.Problem -solving skills and resourceful thinking.Strong empathy and interpersonal skills.Detail -oriented with excellent organizational skills.Capacity to apply discretion and maintain a high level of confidentiality when handling sensitive information.Ability to develop and manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company.Passionate about people and able to serve both employees and leadership through calm problem solving, pragmatism and decisive action.Ability to focus under and deal with pressure.Ability to deal with change and complexity across multiple stakeholders.Must be proactive with a track record of taking initiative.Resourceful, action -orientated with the ability to get things done and overcome obstacles.
