The Cultivation Manager will oversee crop production from propagation to harvest. To ensure the highest quality cannabis, this individual will excel at leading, coaching and coordinating daily schedules for the grow team. The Cultivation Manager works closely with leadership in defining strategy, resource planning, and short/long term goals. Working closely with the Director of Operations, and maintenance personnel, this person will help monitor and make recommendations to the CEO on grow room infrastructure including, lighting, HVAC, irrigation and environmental factors to ensure an optimal grow environment. Cleanliness and adherence to biosecurity policies and procedures are of the utmost importance. This role also consistently evaluates, defines and refines biosecurity measures and cleanliness standards in both cultivation and production space.

Manage and coordinate operations, resources and schedules, daily, throughout the grow process Monitor and troubleshoot cannabis plants growth and development including but not limited to nutrients and environment factors deficiencies Complete tasks associated with avoidance, mitigation and resolution techniques for disease and pest management. Order supplies and additives in a timely and appropriate matter to market forecasting and budget available Review systems for operational efficiency and make recommendations for alternative solutions to the CEO Proactively optimize cultivation including lighting, environmental systems, and fertigation. Effective team management, including assigning work, monitoring progress, training and developing employees

Experience
Knowledge of general management principles and practices Resourceful Ability to exercise authority regarding grow processes. Works well in a team environment Willing to perform a multitude of tasks in a dynamic work environment. Basic mathematical and problem-solving skills Basic Microsoft Office suite skills (word, excel) and ability to learn and use new computers systems to manage grow tasks Trustworthy and willing to learn. Adhere to company mission statement and core values, while maintaining high ethical standards and professionalism. Knowledge of Illinois Medical Marijuana Act and regulations, i.e., state-mandated inventory system Organization Proactive problem-solving capabilities Ability to effectively multi-task Attention to detail Team building and conflict resolution Innovative and creative mindset
