Summary

Emerging leader in the Michigan cannabis industries seeks a Compliance Manager to ensure the Company’s compliance to all cannabis rules and regulations for multiple cannabis operations. The Compliance Manager will coordinate with Chief Legal Officer, SVP of Corporate Development and Director of Retail Operations to implement all standard operating procedures (SOPs) in relation to state regulations and MRA compliance for the production facilities and provisioning centers. The Compliance Manager will also ensure that METRC is accurately reflected in Michigan's track and trace system to match the internal inventory records, per the rules and regulations promulgated by the Marijuana Regulatory Agency (MRA).

Responsibilities

•Remain abreast of relevant industry-related and state-mandated laws and regulations.•Develop & maintain relationships with strategic staff & executives at the MRA and act as the primary point person for all interactions with MRA.•Monitor license status across all facilities and coordinate the renewal process. •Identify risks, ensure compliance to OSHA regulations and ensure loss prevention methods comply with privacy and other applicable laws.•Oversee METRC compliance for all facilities Identifies potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk; develops/implements corrective action plans for resolution of problematic issues and provides general guidance on how to avoid or deal with similar situations in the future.•Thorough understanding of METRC, it's functionality, and how it relates to our operations. •Thorough understanding of ground operations, data collection systems, and point of sale system. •Analyze METRC and identify errors or non-compliant entries. •Revise data that is submitted and escalate if there are discrepancies. •Enter all required production movements into METRC within the required time from harvest through transfer.•Create manifests for all transfers.

Education

• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in related field preferred. • 3-5 years of experience in n compliance, regulatory affairs and/or risk management. • Experience in cannabis industry strongly preferred. • Proven track record of defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts, drawing valid conclusions, implementing solutions. • Has great prioritization and organizational skills • Has strong teamwork skills in order to work with several cross functional partners • Has experience driving an omni view of the business • Have no ego. You do what it takes to get a job done, you are curious and look for creative solutions to any issue • Enjoy a fast-paced, nimble environment • Have a good sense of humor and bring fun to work!
