At Doobie, we believe that a healthy life begins with a happy life. An Inventory Manager at Doobie is responsible for identifying, purchasing, processing and reporting on all cannabis products sold through Doobie Massachusetts.

  1. Receiving - Receive/Import all products delivered for sale in appropriate software, including creation of any new products in accordance with company standards. Proper documentation and filing of paperwork associated with any deliveries.
  2. Physical inventory management/storage - This includes proper rotation of product available for sale following standard FIFO (first in, first out) procedures, proper labeling of all products in storage, and ensuring proper secure storage space for all products in the facility.
  3. METRC Tag management – Ensuring all products in the facility are properly and accurately tagged with a METRC tag, ensuring all METRC tags are finished and destroyed upon completion of product, and ensuring all physical inventory counts are accurate and matching METRC tag count.
  4. Ordering – Placing orders with appropriate vendors based on inventory par levels, product/ delivery hub needs, customer requests, and upcoming promotions.
  5. Vendor Relations – Communication with vendors and sales representatives regarding product needs, inventory levels, customer requests/issues, vendor days and other promotional items.
  6. Inventory Audits/Compliance – periodic inventory audits matching physical count to METRC count and investigating/correcting any discrepancies. Ensuring Company remains 100% compliant at all times in relation to inventory management and tracking.
  7. New Products – Searching out new products and vendors based on store needs and customer requests. Requesting and procuring samples of new products and properly vetting potential wholesale partners. Keeping the Company a destination store for new and highly sought-after products.
  8. Product Rotation – Ensuring products do not become stagnant on shelf and new flavors/strains are always added to rotation of product in addition to maintaining any staple items.
  9. Promotions and Deals – Coordinating with store management on deals to be run based off of current/projected inventory levels as well as promotions passed along from vendors.
  10. Attitude – keeping a positive attitude with vendors, staff members, and management at all times. Ensuring inventory never becomes a catalyst to any stress or disruption to the flow of sales and Ideal candidates will have previous cannabis industry (inventory preferred) experience with working knowledge of Metrc, up to date product and vendor knowledge, and an ardent desire to keep things organized and streamlined. Candidates will have had previous experience with Retail Inventory management and POS systems. Candidates will have strong organizational skills and be able to manage multiple tasks within the inventory management chain at the same time. Candidates will have experience at negotiating and buying. Experience working in a highly regulated industry is preferable.

Experience
