The Accountant supports the Retail as well as the Wholesale company entities through performing complex technical and administrative functions including general accounting, tax accounting, financial reporting and administrative support. Experience managing cross-functional tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment. Responsible for high degree of accuracy and timeliness for tax deadlines and banking deposits. You must be proficient with accounting software, banking procedures, Google sheets, QuickBooks, Excel, etc.
Pay range is 60,000-80,000 per year. This is an exempt position. Benefits available include Health, Dental, Vision, STD, LTD., Life & AD&D as well as employee discount at our dispensaries.
Ensures compliance with internal policies, rules and regulations, and generally accepted accounting principles. Prepares consolidated internal and external financial statements. Determines current financial balances to produce schedules, summary reports, trial balances, income statements, and/or financial statements in accordance with accounting methods. Oversite of accounting related entries to cash, payroll, inventory, A/R registers, journals and logs. Oversite of accounts payable activities and accounts receivables. Responds to vendor and customers account inquiries in a timely manner. Regularly maintain detailed reconciliations of balance sheet accounts Ability to provide detailed analyses and transaction explanations.
Able to sit for long periods of time. Hand dexterity for cash handling. Ability to kneel, bend, reach, rotate, and stoop on occasion. Able to lift and move up to 25 pounds on occasion. Additional Requirements:
Consistent on-time attendance for all scheduled shifts. Prepared for full 40-hour week working scheduled shifts or weeks over 40 during peak times to complete daily and weekly objectives. Willing to give and take direction Ability to change tasks as necessary to prioritize.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
High level knowledge of and experience with excise taxes, sales tax returns and business tax returns. Experience with balance sheet reconciliation. Advanced cost accounting knowledge preferred in retail and wholesale manufacturing. Experience managing inter-company allocations. Comfortable with generally accepted accounting principles. High level of skill with MS Office, including MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Strong ability to communicate in writing and speaking, as well as above average organizational skills. Detailed oriented with excellent ability to analyze data. Track record of success in managing multiple entities accounts. Has above average experience with technology. Is highly collaborative and able to manage multiple projects at once. Attention to detail and solution orientated using proven and documented processes .
Bachelors or higher degrees in accounting or finance required. CPA preferred. 3+ more years of accounting or finance experience. Working knowledge of the Cannabis industry as it pertains to Accounting and Banking.
