Cannabis company based in Oklahoma City seeking experienced Sr. Controller to join our team of professionals! The successful candidate will have a strong cost / manufacturing accounting background, be able to work independently, be proactive, be detail oriented and able to remain flexible with the ever-changing demands in a fast-paced start-up environment while possessing great communication skills. The right candidate must be a team player and able to work with all levels of employees. Summary: The Sr. Controller manages, coordinates and analyzes the operational and financial aspects of the organization. The Sr. Controller will report to the Chief Financial Officer and will serve as a resource to help reduce costs, enhance revenues, and produce timely and accurate monthly financial statements.

Responsibilities: • Responsible for overall accounting operations for the organization. • Demonstrate strategic thinking in planning for the organizations short-term and long-term financial future. • Responsible for ensuring systems of internal controls are in place to safeguard the organization’s assets. • Responsbile for the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements. • Integral member of the team to develop a formal budget and supervises budgeting process.

Experience

Education and Experience Requirements: 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing or other environment requiring cost accounting knowledge. Cannabis/280E experience a plus!

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required. CPA is not required but is preferred.

Skill Requirements: Ability to work independently. Proactive nature. Excellent communication, listening, leadership and management skills are essential. Strong organizational skills to effectively deal with multiple tasks are required. Must be able to effectively work closely with owners, senior executives, staff, and peers.

Superior QuickBooks and Excel skills are essential. Knowledge of LeafLink, LeafLogix or Distru a plus!
