Parallel is seeking a detail-oriented Laboratory Technician II for our internal testing lab. The Laboratory Technician II will be responsible for duties related to the analytical testing of our products including receiving, preparing, and testing samples as well as, analyzing, recording, and reporting test results.

  • Receives samples from internal departments.
  • Prepares and labels the samples for testing.
  • Performs analytical testing on prepared samples using equipment including HPLC-UV, HPLC-MS, GC-MS, and LC-MS.
  • Records analysis and test results and reports the outcomes to the applicable stakeholders.
  • Maintains appropriate records in accordance with regulations, Good Documentation Practices (GDP), and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
  • Organizes and stores samples in accordance with inventory procedures and in a manner to maintain the integrity of the sample.
  • Interfaces directly, as needed, with third-party testing companies to request testing services and results.
  • Assists in storage and disposal of hazardous materials within the lab in accordance with regulations.
  • Performs other duties as directed by the Lead Analytical Chemist.


  • Age 21 or over
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Government-Issued Photo ID
  • 1+ years working with a testing laboratory work, including college/university experience
  • 1+ years working with HPLC-UV, HPLC-MS, GC-MS, and LC-MS laboratory equipment
  • Strong communication, research, analysis, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to execute multiple tasks simultaneously; focusing on both short- and long-term goals; identify problems quickly
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing, and challenging environment
  • Strong ability to apply discretion, maintain confidential and proprietary information appropriately
  • Ability to work as part of a team with cohesive aspects

  • 3 to 5 years' experience working in manufacturing and/or the cannabis industry
  • A.A., B.A./B.S degree
  • Working knowledge of quality control, policy and procedure and documentation
  • Knowledge and understanding of cGMP, GLP, and wet chemistry.

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 75% of the time
  • Constantly operates a computer and manufacturing equipment
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks for long periods of time (bending, lifting, pouring, typing and squatting)
  • The ability to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces.
  • The ability to wear personal protective gear during portions of the day.
  • Must be able to lift to 50lbs
  • Hand and eye coordination
