The Grant and Proposal Writer position is responsible for preparation, production, and coordination of grants, RFP and RFQ proposals to obtain funding from government, agencies, and private foundations. This position will work collaboratively with the Executive Team, Fiscal Department, and Human Resources to obtain the necessary information to produce grants and proposals. Position duties and responsibilities generally consist of research, coordination, writing, and editing leading to grant production and development.
RESPONSIBILITIES Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the job. • Continually researches grants, projects and proposal availability, identifies possible opportunities, and develops and implements presentations including pre-proposal and grant papers, etc. Submits requests for selected grants, projects, and proposals. • Knowledge of RFPs, RFQ's, grant applications, funding sources and proposal process. • Knowledge of technical grant writing and Requests for Proposals and Request for Quotes an ability to produce competitive grants and proposals. Able to read and edit proposals. • Coordinates, compiles, and organizes the input of information necessary to respond to selected grants and proposals. • Critically reviews and edits RFP/RFI/RFQ documents for submittal requirements and makes edits as appropriate to meet exact RFP/RFA specifications. • Ability to ensure written proposal is responsive to the RFP. Obtains additional information and data as needed to ensure responsiveness. •

• At least two years of proposal writing experience in the construction and/or staffing industry • Additional four years of experience plus high school diploma accepted in lieu of degree • APMP Certification a + • Excellent grammar, writing, editing, and formatting skills. • Advanced computer skills using MS Office Professional software. • Ability to problem solve and react appropriately to emergency situations. • Ability to work independently and effectively collaborate with a team. • Military experience a plus
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Journalism, English, Communication, or related field
