Summary
The RoleThe Regulatory Compliance Paralegal will provide direct compliance management support to the Assistant General Counsel: Litigation & Regulatory Compliance and the Compliance department on related projects, in addition to the department's day-to-day activities. The Compliance Paralegal will also work with GTI's General Counsel to help develop, produce and maintain Ethics & Compliance and regulatory training programs.

Responsibilities
Core Responsibilities
- Support the Compliance department on regulatory related projects.
- Oversee and manage the required disclosures of GTI's Directors, Officers, and principal officers in all our markets, including principal officer applications, agent badge renewals, affiliations and other required reports, disclosures, filings and renewals to ensure such disclosures and renewals are prepared with the required documentation and submitted in a timely manner to regulatory agencies.
- Track, monitor and ensure timely completion of GTI's Directors, Officers, and principal officers' training requirements in all our markets.
- Support the Mergers & Acquisitions team on any and all ownership and Board of Directors disclosure requirements, including, but not limited to: completing disclosure applications, fingerprinting logistics and execution, coordination and notarization of signature pages, processing check requests, and collaborating with outside counsel to obtain clarification on local disclosure requirements.
- Work with GTI's General Counsel and third-party vendors to help develop, produce and maintain Ethics & Compliance and regulatory training programs ( g., GTI's Code of Ethical Business Conduct training) and help maintain and implement GTI's Business Enterprise Risk strategy.
- Provide logistical support in storing data related to compliance investigations, auditing and monitoring activities, as well as assisting with any required responses to state agencies as needed.
- Support the Compliance department with the preparation of reports, training and presentations, such as oversee companywide compliance initiatives/large-scale communications/timelines ( g., Compliance Awareness Week coordination, Code of Conduct attestation roll-out ) and PTO calendars for the department and tracking companywide training.
- Organize and maintain Compliance department documents and records as needed and assist with edits and updates to the Compliance department's SharePoint website.
- Assist with other responsibilities as needed, such as assisting the compliance team with document/email review and filing, monitoring access to the compliance department's document storage location/systems, and processing requests concerning sensitive information requested from other departments / state agencies.
- Provide administrative support as needed, such as scheduling meetings, coordinating check requests and handling print and mail requests.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Paralegal and/or compliance experience at a law firm or in-house law department, ideally in the regulated cannabis industry or another highly regulated industry, such as food and beverage, pharmaceutical, gaming or tobacco.
- PC, Microsoft Office, SharePoint and Adobe proficiency.
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, and ability to communicate in a professional manner both internally and externally.
- Operates with a high level of professionalism and integrity, including dealing with confidential information.
- Detail-oriented, organized, efficient and resourceful with strong follow-through skills.
- Highly motivated, self-directed, innovative, and able to work independently or among teams with keen judgement, common sense and resourcefulness.
- Adapts and thrives in a demanding, fast-paced environment.
Additional Requirements
- Must pass any and all required background checks
- Must be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry
- Must possess valid driver's license
- Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
- Must be approved b y state badging agency to work in cannabis industry
