The Quality Control/Assurance Director ensures that quality standards and procedures are met and aligned with legislation and customer specifications. This individual is responsible for managing the organizations quality assurance policies. The QC/QA Manager will also establish performance standards, procedures, and audit controls in order to meet business requirements, as well as Identify and implement process improvements to increase the efficiency, effectiveness, and quality of company operations.
Establish and maintain a quality program for monitoring supplier quality, including audits, controls, inspections and other qualifiers
Provide leadership developing and directing QA and quality improvement initiatives for all company products
Collaborate with client-facing quality representatives to ensure full customer satisfaction with the company’s products
Create and maintain quality control documentation
Maintains product consistency throughout product cycle
Perform internal quality audits/inspections throughout the entire product life cycle that are compliant with corporate and legislative policies, practices, and procedures
Establish a process for preventive and corrective actions, and a feedback mechanism to ensure compliance and continuous improvements
Identify relevant quality training needs and opportunities
Advise senior management of regulatory changes and what the cause and effect are of these changes to the organization
Support new product development and continuous improvement and by integrating quality control tools into processes
Ensure that the organization meets, maintains, improves and implements regulatory requirements to maintain the company's compliance commitments and status nationally
Investigate and thoroughly document issues that may affect product quality or productivity
Investigate and follow up on quality related complaint
Maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and ensure their compliance to GMP and GVP. Audit current procedures by reviewing and updating existing procedures, create new improved procedures and implement them through training
Ensure each formulation conforms to its specifications through the testing of raw materials/bulk/finished products by the Quality Control laboratory
Investigate and follow up on adverse drug reaction complaint to the requirements of the quality and pharmacovigilance systems and taking corrective, and preventive action as necessary

Knowledge of applicable standards and regulations in the health and beauty industry or equivalent industry
Ability to create and review technical documentation, test procedures, and design documents
Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills
Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with other departments, key business partners, and government agencies
Minimum of 7 years experience in a Quality
Direct knowledge of QA methodologies
Demonstrated capability to represent the Company as related to third party audits.
Able to interface directly with cross-functional teams
High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office productivity suite
Extremely detail-oriented and analytical thinker
Able to develop, review, and maintain metrics and quality audits
Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
Must have experience in lab testing, line auditing, component inspection, and micro testing
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
Bachelor degree graduate in Chemistry or equivalent
