Associate Retail Buyer
As an Associate Retail Buyer for Curaleaf, you will be responsible for the item creation process, learn how to allocate inventory to our dispensaries, and learning the ways that we strategically manage the intersection between sales & inventory. These important business functions contribute to the goals of the organization: increased sales / margin, inventory management, and a world-class consumer experience. We want you to be curious about all aspects of the business as the Associate Retail Buyer will be responsible for item management inside our ERP system, identifying business trends that place the right inventory at the right location at the right time, and working with cross functional business partners to analyze business performance. You will learn all about different product categories, various strain offerings, and provide input to product performance. We want you to be organized as your work will guide many cross functional processes. We want you to be passionate about problem solving - using your skills with excel, tableau, and various data analytics platforms to find solutions that will enhance our business. This role will report into the teams managed by the Senior Director of Retail Planning.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Owns the item creation process inside our ERP system (Microsoft Dynamics F&O)
- Accountable for the accuracy of information generated from our software programs - inclusive of inventory breakouts between retail & wholesale channels
- Develops strong relationships with cross functional partners to provide feedback on business improvements
- Manages allocation process of inventory to our dispensaries - focusing on right inventory, at the right location, at the right time
- Builds reports to enhance decision making at all levels of the organization
- Audits inventory to hold to target levels across dispensaries while ensuring that dispensaries can exceed sales expectations
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
- Curious, passionate, and scrappy - we wear multiple hats
- Strong presentation skills and ability to listen
- Self-motivated, driven, and comfortable working autonomously with little oversight
- Ability to make decisions under pressure
- Must be a self-starter who likes to solve complex problems
- Solutions based team member
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and Tableau (preferred)
- Ability to gather / analyze data and to work with incomplete information
- Comfortable in both creative & analytical situations
- Knowledgeable about cannabis products (preferred)
