As Director of Marketing for Vangst, you will play a key role in championing our brand voice and developing and executing annual brand strategies that support long and short-term organizational and financial goals. As the Director of Marketing, you’ll combine analytical and creative elements to provide creative, insightful, and strategic leadership across all communication initiatives, driving brand love and growth. You will be responsible for helping us position Vangst as the leading platform that addresses the most robust and crucial set of features and services for Cannabis employment. You will also play an important role in managing Vangst’s message through non-traditional channels including events and working closely with the VP of Partnerships to advance Vangst’s professional network in Cannabis across a variety of sub-verticals.
You will be involved in long-term strategy as well as highly tactical day-to-day execution. Reporting directly to the founder/CEO, this is a rare opportunity to establish the first and only Deep Job Platform for Cannabis.
-Ensure flawless direction, development, and execution of marketing campaigns, ongoing content creation, and events that deliver on brand objectives and financial goals -- driving engagement, trial, and repeat visits/business.
-Build and launch communication tactics via insight-driven, differentiated, and effective go-to-market campaigns (grounded in the brand strategy) that drive candidate and company acquisition, engagement, and conversion.
-Manage agency and contractor relationships, expectations, and budgets, including but not limited to art directors, designers, copywriters, digital marketing specialists, photographers, retouchers, illustrators.
-Define and implement an internal communications protocol for keeping our teams informed of company announcements, campaigns, content, and empowering them to easily spread relevant news.

This role is for a senior leader, with experience that spans traditional and digital channels, and one who is adept at creative storytelling and building brand at scale with a proven track record of establishing market leaders.
-At least 7+ years of experience as a Marketing Director/Head of Marketing.
-Demonstrated B2C prowess.
-Tactical, hands-on experience with lead forecasting, reporting, and analysis
-Experience developing compelling messaging and voice across all digital channels
-Experience managing third-party vendors including agencies and contractors
-Experience partnering with sales teams to coordinate, communicate, and deliver offers and campaigns that resonate deeply with customers along the buyer's journey
