The Production Technician - Packaging is responsible for preparing a variety of cannabis products for distribution.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Measuring, packaging, and labeling products correctly and as directed.
  • Ability to keep accurate counts.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Maintain the highest levels of cleanliness inside the processing area.
  • Work with inventory of bulk and prepackaged products. Set up and stock boxes and other needed supplies and materials to meet production requirements.
  • Make sure all labeling and recording of inventory data is done accurately and according to procedures.
  • Responsible for operating and maintaining packaging equipment such as package heat sealer.
  • Work efficiently to reduce material waste and eliminate downtime.
  • Follow safety procedures and best practices.
  • Excellent time-management skills.
  • Ability to focus; good attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with management and co-workers.
  • Math required for inventory, projections, and measurements.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment where changes are made quickly.
  • Willingness to accept additional projects or challenges.
  • Utilize Management for needed guidance and support.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures and federal and state laws.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Qualification Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a hands-on environment with high attention to detail preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Basic math and computer skills.
  • Highly motivated, self-directed, innovative and able to work independently or among teams with keen judgement, common sense, and resourcefulness.
  • Attention to detail and ability to focus on one task for extended periods of time.
  • Adapts and thrives in a demanding, start-up, fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently throughout a workday with given directives.
  • Allergen warnings - Potential exposure to dust, pollen, and plant pathogens.
  • Exposure to cleaning solvents, such as high volumes of isopropyl alcohol.
  • Daily use of company provided PPE.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Subject to background check per state cannabis regulations.
  • Internal candidates must be in their current role 6 months or more for consideration.

Facility Environment:
  • Allergen warnings -Potential exposure to dust, pollen, and plant pathogens.
  • Exposure to cleaning solvents, such as high volumes of isopropyl alcohol.
  • All jobs require daily use of provided PPE, such as masks, hair nets, beard covers, respirators, boot covers, scrubs, non-slip shoes, and Tyvek suits as necessary.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces
  • Exposure to loud noises, including but not limited to air compressors, packaging equipment, and alarms.
  • Exposure to CO2 manufacturing procedures at OSHA approved CO2 levels
  • High stress tolerance, adaptable, flexible ability to work in an ever-changing environment
