Responsibilities: • Build, recruit, train, and retain talent • Supervise and appraise a team of 15+ employees • Drive operational excellence through analyzing the business and creating clear actions plans that optimize results and ensure effective execution of all operational activities. • Maximize profitability through managing budgets, financial and statistical records, setting sales targets and motivating employees to execute targets • Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization to implement and maintain store goals, protocols, policies and procedures in accordance with company standards • Build the brand and provide a thriving environment that is focused on delivering exceptional in-store brand experiences • Drive compliance and support employee training in accordance with all cannabis state-specific rules, regulations and laws • Collaborate with the marketing department to manage store promotions and events and customer communication across all platforms • Foster a relationship with product processing and product managers to continue product knowledge and understanding Skills/qualifications needed for this position: • 21+ years of age and older • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred but not required • 5+ years of general management experience in retail or hospitality • Demonstrated success managing a location with P&L responsibility • Familiarity with MI Medical Cannabis Program rules and regulations preferred but not required • Familiarity with history and varieties of medical marijuana, Knowledge of Cannabis culture and products and dispensary items preferred but not required • Exceptional customer service skills • Strong Written & verbal communication skills • General computer knowledge - experience with Microsoft Office, internet, and social media *Pure Roots provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, or genetics
